Privacy Policy for FameScale OS

FameScale OS ("the app", "we", "us") is a web app that lets users connect Instagram Business and Creator accounts, upload approved short-form videos, organize profiles into groups, and schedule automated Instagram Reel posting rotations. It is provided by Akos Kis-Kallo (Romania). This policy explains what data we collect — including data obtained via Facebook Login and the Meta/Instagram Graph API — why we collect it, and your choices. Questions: akos@famescale.co.

1. Who we are

FameScale OS is provided by Akos Kis-Kallo, Romania. For any privacy question contact akos@famescale.co.

2. How you sign in

You sign in to FameScale OS with an email address and password. Facebook Login is not the primary login method — it is used only to connect the Instagram and Facebook Business assets you want to publish to, after you already have an account.

3. Data we collect via Facebook Login and the Instagram Graph API

When you connect a Facebook/Instagram account to FameScale OS we request the following permissions. Each one is requested only to deliver functionality you have asked for:

public_profile — to identify the Facebook user authorizing the connection.
pages_show_list — to list the Facebook Pages you manage so you can choose which one to link.
pages_read_engagement — to read basic Page metadata required for the Instagram Business connection.
business_management — to access the Business assets you have authorized for publishing.
instagram_basic — to identify the Instagram Business/Creator account and show its username and profile in the FameScale OS UI.
instagram_content_publish — to publish the videos you upload to FameScale OS as Reels on the Instagram accounts you connected.

In the future, if Meta approves it and you opt in, we may also request instagram_manage_insights to show you analytics/insights for posts published through FameScale OS.

4. What we store on our servers vs. read at runtime

Stored on our servers:

Account/auth data: your email address and a hashed password (handled by our auth provider — we never see or store the plaintext password).
Connected Instagram account IDs, usernames, and display names.
Connected Facebook Page IDs and names.
Encrypted Facebook/Instagram access tokens needed to publish on your behalf.
Uploaded video files and their metadata.
Account groups, scheduling settings, posting history, and job/queue status.

Fetched at runtime, not retained:

Live Instagram account and Page data from the Graph API.
Publishing/status responses from Instagram.
Future analytics/insights metrics, if you enable that feature.

5. How we use this data

Your data is used solely to provide FameScale OS:

To authenticate you and run your account.
To connect the Instagram/Facebook assets you choose and store the tokens required to publish on your behalf.
To upload, organize, schedule, and publish the videos you place into FameScale OS.
To show you posting history and (optionally, in the future) insights for those posts.
To debug failures and keep the service running reliably.

We do not use your data for advertising or profiling, and we do not sell or rent it.

6. Where it is stored (sub-processors)

FameScale OS relies on a small number of processors to operate. Your data may be processed by:

Supabase, Inc. — our database, authentication, and video file storage. Hosted in the EU. supabase.com/privacy
Upstash, Inc. — Redis-based job queue infrastructure for scheduling posts. Hosted in Frankfurt, Germany (eu-central-1). upstash.com/trust/privacy
Meta Platforms, Inc. — the Facebook Login and Instagram Graph API used to connect your accounts and publish content. facebook.com/privacy/policy
Our hosting provider — used to run the FameScale OS application and backend.
OpenAI, L.L.C. — may be used in the future, only if you enable an AI caption-rewriting feature. Caption text would be sent to OpenAI for that request. openai.com/policies/privacy-policy

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), access tokens are stored encrypted, and per-user access controls ensure one account cannot read another account's data.

7. Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal, Facebook, or Instagram data with third parties, except:

the sub-processors listed in Section 6, strictly to operate the service, and
where required by law.

8. Data retention and deletion

When you disconnect an Instagram or Facebook account from FameScale OS, the access tokens for that connection are deleted immediately. Connected-account metadata and posting history may be retained for up to 30 days for audit and debugging purposes unless you request earlier deletion.

Uploaded videos, workspace data, and your FameScale OS account itself are deleted on your request, or when you delete your account.

To request deletion, follow the instructions at famescale.co/famescaleos-data-deletion or email akos@famescale.co. We complete verified deletion requests within 30 days.

9. Your rights

FameScale OS is provided from Romania and this policy is governed by Romanian law; EU GDPR applies. Depending on where you live (e.g. GDPR/EEA, UK, California), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict its processing. To exercise any of these, contact akos@famescale.co.

You can also revoke FameScale OS's access to your Facebook data at any time at facebook.com/settings → Apps and Websites.

10. Children

FameScale OS is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA), and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact akos@famescale.co and we will delete it.

11. Security

We use encrypted transport (HTTPS/TLS), encrypt stored access tokens, and enforce per-user access controls. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.

12. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, an in-app notice.
